Phapy Birtydah Blake!

Are my typo's driving you nuts?! At our house we like to say "phapy birtydah" on a birthday. We are goofy but I like our quirks. I cant' remember why we moved the letters around to form this phrase but it has been a favorite of ours for a while.

I can't believe that Blake is 14! Seriously, where has the time gone? We had such a good day celebrating his special day. His birthday breakfast cracked me up. He requested a lumberjack breakfast minus the hashbrowns and eggs so basically he wanted pancakes, saugsage, and bacon. I liked the fact that it was easy! We took him out to eat for lunch, which is a favorite tradition we do. It was extra special as last year we did not have the resources to do this with our children. His dinner was awesome as there was no stress in its preparation. He wanted hot dogs and nachos. It just couldn't have been more easy for me! I know that you were just dieing to know what we ate, but for me it was a real treat to have such an easy menu! We gotta celebrate these moments.

As a family we went sledding to celebrate. We had a total blast! It was the first time that we have done as a family this since moving here to North Dakota. Amazingly we stayed warm and no one got too hurt.

It was a very special day!

Here is the birthday boy.

I love this picture of Erin. The cold makes her face look like a doll.

Wahoo! Here go Chris and Macie.
